You have a fresh new start ahead of you, so use it! Make sure to stay on top of your academics, but also use this opportunity to branch out and explore unfamiliar student groups, clubs, sports, etc. Make the most of the transition, as difficult as that can be to do.

Don't be afraid to talk to new people. The University has so many organizations and so many opportunities and clubs to get involved. Don't be afraid to attend new clubs that look interesting or tag along people you met today. I wished I was more involved in my first year at the University.
